Historic Mill

Enjoy nutritious and delectable whole grain products from the water powered flour mill built in 1872 at the Butte Creek Mill. While most happy customers must mail order pancake and waffle mix, buckwheat flapjacks or yellow cornbread mix, residents of Medford and Jackson County are close enough to pick up their favorites weekly.

Strange Phenomena

For a really unusual outing, visit the House of Mystery at the Oregon Vortex, an area that birds and wild animals avoid and that Indians ominously called "the Forbidden Ground". A spherical force causes multiple, unexplained phenomena such as cigarette smoke that rises in a spiral and a 28-pound ball that hangs from a chain in the ceiling...at an incline.

Leisure Learning

Retirees moving into Medford and Jackson County can use their newly gained free time to take up a new hobby or learn a new skill in one of the many courses offered at Southern Oregon University and Rogue Community, College which both have Medford campuses.
